I am Shanaka Perera from Bad Nauheim – a professional pianist and DJ with many years of experience.

Our music creates special moments:

PIANOPLUS offers various solo, duo, trio, and party formations, as well as a DJ with pianist Shanaka Perera providing live background music, concert performances, or dance music with a band or DJ.

With these different formations, you can customize your event. For example: Solo piano for dinner, a duo of piano and singer or saxophonist for the reception, followed by a band and/or DJ later on.

PIANOPLUS is suitable for a wide range of events and budgets: standing receptions, art openings, gala dinners, weddings, intermissions during presentations or multi-course menus, corporate events, live concerts for jazz brunches, bar and lounge music, or public festivities.

I began taking piano lessons in Sri Lanka at the age of 8 and started my journey as a freelance pianist in the Maldives at 19.

Since 2001, I have been performing at various events across Germany. With my diverse repertoire and a keen sense for the right music, I help ensure the success of events such as weddings, corporate gatherings, receptions, and art openings.

I can also be booked as a DJ for exuberant dance parties. Lounge music for a champagne reception, dinner and then hits for dancing - an ideal combination for company events, weddings and other celebrations.

My focus as a DJ is the 70s, 80s, 90s and current hits, as well as house and hip hop.

The combination DJ plus our saxophonist Ron Faust. With his three different saxophones and the didgeridoo, Ron provides the ultimate live sound. It will be difficult not to dance or groove to this... and a good mood is guaranteed.
